Week 2: How The Internet is Changing The Education Industry

The Internet has clearly revolutionized the education industry in many ways. This week I will focus on how research in general has been made easier and more accessible for students and teachers alike. The Internet has made all sources of research readily available at the click of a mouse. Articles, news, resources, data, and more can be searched and explained in detail to those who wish to learn more about any topic imaginable. Prior to the Internet, those who wished to research certain topics would have to go to a library and research information using books and encyclopedias. Today, most people own a computer or have access to one at a public library where they can use search engines to find loads of valuable information to further educate them. Having an abundance of information accessible from the comfort of your own home or at a library computer has renationalized how the education industry operates.
